Booking a photographer for a session you may think the price is very expensive ?

When booking a photographer to photograph your newborn baby this may cost hundreds or thousands of pounds.

This is an investment !! Over time this investment becomes priceless.

Once you’ve missed this stage there is no going back !!!

So why does it cost the amount it does –

I have spent several years specialising in Newborn photography. Training myself and investing in my skills to produce stunning portraits of your little one. I have studied lighting, learning the skills to light your baby correctly. I have heavily invested in specialist studio lights that will softly light your baby. The props I use are brought from newborn specialist. These are the best in unique or custom, handmade pieces. I have studied wrapping to ensure your baby looks beautiful and I have invested in stunning wraps and backdrops. You don’t need to bring anything to your session. I have everything to produce stunning images of your baby. Finally the safety and welfare of your baby is Paramount. All precautions have been taking to ensure the safety of you baby through out my session.

Each of my Newborn sessions last approximately 2 – 4hrs sometimes longer. I then arrange to meet again (approximately 2 weeks later) for an ordering appointment that usually lasts 2hrs. These long periods of time I spend with my clients is to give the client the best experience. This does not include the editing time/Preparation and ordering appointment as well as the client communication  that goes on behind the scenes.

Like any other jobs and industries their are hobbyis or inexperienced photographers who would be more than happy to photograph your baby and make a quick buck. These photographers usually lack the skills, training and expertise to photograph newborn babies. They can’t position or don’t have the skills or expertise to place the baby in flattering positions. They don’t have the lighting equipment or even the lighting skills. The props that are used are normally poor quality or unsafe. Their cameras and lens are not what is required or adequate for a Newborn session.
